SUPPORT BHS

"Tzedakah and acts of kindness are the equivalent of all the mitzvot of the Torah”
Jerusalem Talmud, Pe'ah 1:1

Since its inception in 1959, The Brooklyn Heights Synagogue has been a vibrant center of Jewish living in the community. Sixty-five years later, what began in our founder’s (Belle and Rubin Huffman) living room has grown into a state-of-the-art spiritual and cultural home to more than 500 families, offering a warm, inclusive environment filled with meaningful worship, robust educational and enrichment programming initiatives, and a broad variety of resources for our community.

All of this has been made possible through the forward-thinking generosity of our members and friends. By electing to make BHS a philanthropic priority, you enable us to sustain our community and expand our offerings, all while fulfilling the mitzvah of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world.

The operational costs of running our congregation are not fully covered by membership dues and religious and preschool tuition. We strongly rely on your contributions to not only maintain, but also to improve, our ever-expanding community and all we have to offer, not only for our current membership but for future generations to come.

With your support, we can continue what Belle and Rubin Huffman started.

BHS depends upon your generous support. Your donation is fully tax exempt. Thank you!

BHS accepts a variety of payment methods, e-checks (which incur NO processing fees), credit cards (a 3% convenience charge), ACH payments through donor advised funds, or through the sale of securities. However, if you prefer to make a payment by physical check, you can either mail it directly to the address below or drop it off in person:
