Rosh Chodesh is a program for all female identifying Jewish teens (non-binary teens are welcome too).
Location | Rabbi Romano’s Home
Rosh Chodesh meets once a month on Sundays from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Rabbi Romano's home. The cost is $50 for the entire year and covers snacks and dinner for our monthly gatherings.
Rosh Chodesh literally means head of the month. Jewish women have been reclaiming this monthly minor holiday as a time to focus on women's issues and rituals that mark the cycles of time and the passing of seasons. Moving Traditions began Rosh Chodesh groups over a decade ago to help Jewish teen girls stay engaged in Jewish life post-Bat Mitzvah.
Besides bonding with friends, new and old, through Rosh Chodesh your teen will get a chance to explore Jewish issues that matter to them and discuss the joys and oy's of being a Jewish teenage girl today.
