Pride Shabbat

Join BHS’s annual LGBTQ+ Pride Shabbat!

Location | Sanctuary

Featuring Guest Speaker Rakhel Silverman-Gitin

Pride Shabbat will be led by our interns, Eden Anolick and Sarina Elenbogen-Seigel, and our clergy. We’ll be joined by our speaker, Rakhel Silverman-Gitin, from Keshet who will share about the importance of LGBTQ+ representation in books and literature, and how we, in New York, can take actions against book bans, to ensure that children and people everywhere can access books that depict families just like them.

5:30pm | Join a Pre-Oneg for Jewish LGBTQ+ Families

Location | Event Space

BHS will host a special pre-oneg before Pride Shabbat for Jewish LGBTQ+ families. In the theme of the importance of representation in books and literature, we will highlight books that depict LGBTQ+ families on display.
