BHS Board of Trustees adopts resolution to become a
SANCTUARY SYNAGOGUE ... A message from Rabbi Lippe
Many of you may have read that at its last meeting, the BHS Board unanimously adopted a resolution declaring BHS a Sanctuary Congregation.  A press release was issued and a copy can be found here. In addition, our Task Force on Immigration and Refugee Issues has been working to identify opportunities for BHS and its members to collaborate with other faith based organizations and community groups to provide services to undocumented immigrants who may be facing detention or deportation.  One of those opportunities - our participation with Catholic Migration Services to provide legal services to families - has been previously reported to you.

The Task Force would like to ensure that BHS members who are interested in being informed of volunteer opportunities or other activities in support of immigrant and/or refugee rights receive information in a timely way.  Therefore, we are developing a roster of BHS members who would like to receive emails regarding these matters.  If you are interested in being on this email list, please respond to  This email address is being protected from spambots.
